Polaris Brief

This was a live brief set by Polaris bike wear, a cycling clothing and accessories company. The brief was to design a limited edition jersey and a pub take over for Polaris marketing over the Grand Depart 2014 in Yorkshire (which is the first two stages of Le Tour de France in 2014).

My intention for the design of the jersey was for it to be fun, pleasant and enjoyable and for it to reflect the celebration that the tour coming to Yorkshire. I wanted the design to represent Yorkshire through a cyclist’s eye, for example Yorkshire country road, fields and dry stone walls and use Polaris’ tag line ‘just add your bike’.

The pub take over is a collaborative project intending to create ideas to kit out the pub for the Tour de France celebrations. This include creating a logo and sign for the take over, signage, countdown board, banners, beer mats, EPO beer label, postcards, table numbers and decorations for the pub.
